About Keystone
Keystone was founded in 1970 as a resort town. It is centered around River Run Village that sits at the base of the mountain. Keystone offers over 3,000 skiable acres across its three peaks offering terrain for all skill levels. Keystone also offers two ice skating areas, the rink at Dercum Square and Keystone lake.
In the summer hiking, biking, ATV, and Jeep trails provide a slew of outdoor activities. Events throughout the season bring in visitors and keep the town busy during the summer.

Keystone’s Three Peaks
Dercum Mountain: Rising to 11,640 feet, Dercum Mountain greets skiers and snowboards as they enter into the resort. Dercum’s trails offer long groomed beginner runs as well as a variety of intermediate runs perfect for cruising. It is also home to Keystone’s award-winning 60-acre terrain park.
North Peak: Sitting at 11,660 feet, North Peak Sits Directly behind Dercum Mountain and offers a wide variety of intermediate and advanced terrain, including long bump runs. North Peak is also home to The Outpost and Labonte’s Smokehouse BBQ, both great spots for hungry skiers and riders to grab a bite to eat.
The Outback: Keystones’ furthest and tallest peak at 11,980 feet is known as the Outback. A sanctuary for skiers and riders to enjoy powder turns and tree skiing. With a short hike from the Outback Express Lift, skiers and riders will find themselves at the North and South Bowls where they can indulge in wider open turns and powder stashes.
Keystone Short Term Rental Regulations
Currently, Keystone does not have a cap on the number of licenses or the number of nights a property can be rented for. Howeve,r a license is required to short-term rent in Keystone.
